A T1 is a 'hard line' between Chattanooga Online and a customer's location. This hard line provides very reliable synchronous connections with expected uptime of 99.999% with smooth throughput. We provide T1 connections from all the major local telecommunications companies, and because of special connectivity and arrangements we can offer special deals on T1 connections in the Chattanooga area.
A T1 is typically channelized into 24 channels and can be shared as voice/data combinations. Each channel carries one voice line or 64k of data (for a total of 1.54 Mbps when using all 24 channels for data communications).
